Welcome to the Mobility Series. These workouts are designed to build balance and mobility in the body as well as improve your posture. They are slow and controlled, focusing on perfect form and engaging multiple muscle groups at one time. They are feel good workouts that are suitable for all fitness levels and are great for those wanting to rehabilitate from injury or sickness.
The 4 Workouts are:
Mobility Sculpt (45 mins) you will use a resistance band to perform shoulder and arm exercises from all angles. You will engage your core and lower body with side laying leg extensions and unique plank variations. The workout is a stretch sculpting style that will leave you feeling balanced and invigorated. There is also a nice burn in those shoulders from the constant tension on the band.
Mobility Rotations (42 mins) you will use angle changes and rotational movements to open up through your hips and shoulders as well as engage every other part of your body in a 'feel good' way. Although this workout is designed to build balance in the body, there is definitely still a burn factor in a lot of the exercises. You will start standing, move to a kneeling segment and end on the mat. No equipment needed!
Mobility Lower Body (37 mins) you will use angle changes and rotational movements to open up through your hips, knees and ankles in a 'feel good' way. Although this workout is designed to build balance in the body, there is definitely still a burn factor in a lot of the exercises. You will start with hip loosening swings and rotations, move to wider range of motion moves using the chair for balance, then a seated segment, some more standing balance work and finally you will end on the mat.
Mobility Combinations (42 mins) you will loosen your spine with flowing bends and rotations. Then move on to a side lunge, leg lift series with arm engagement - this one has a balance challenge element to it too. Next use your chair to target front, back of thighs, glutes and hips with some fun combination moves. Then hit the mat in all 4s to work the abdominals with some more balancing moves and challenging sit back leg raises. Finally some inner thigh openers and a short abs segment.

What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them! Get ready to sweat, puff and burn - hopefully you'll love every minute of it!
