Welcome to the Metabolic Training Series. These 4 workouts are designed to rev up your metabolism, burn calories and build strength in your entire body. Each workout includes targeted strength training exercises and also has a high cardio factor. There's heaps of variety in the exercises as well as across the 4 workouts.

THE WORKOUTS ARE:

Box Sculpt (56 mins): start with fun boxing combinations to burn fat and sculpt lean arms. You will then use your chair to elevate some side leg raises in various positions to fully fatigue the outer thighs and glutes. Then you will hit the mat with the medium weights and a resistance band to work the chest and abs with some fun combination moves. Finish with a tough abs series.

Cardio Sculpt (57 mins): start with a flowing aerobics style routine, move to swan arms with light weights and lower body engagement, then another fun cardio segment with a balance challenge element, next you use the chair and weights for a tough lower body segment, finally a mat series elevated on the chair and a tough chair abs series.

Circuit (55 mins): start with a flowing aerobics style warm up, then move to a number of different circuits each starting with the medium dumbbells in compound moves, then a cardio blast for the same muscle group, and finally the elevation and heavier dumbbell to fully fatigue the muscle before moving on to the next circuit. You will finish on the mat with glute bridge work and some abs to finish.

Functional (55 mins): heat up the body with some squat, lunge and kick combinations, then move to a fun cardio set with some old school moves, grab some medium weights for a tough lower body segment, hand stand variations and down dogs, more lower body weighted exercises and finally glute bridge and abs on the mat.

I have worked in the diet and fitness industry as an instructor and personal trainer for most of my career and have created close to 650 workout videos to bring my passion for exercise to you! What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them! Get ready to sweat, puff and burn - hopefully you'll love every minute of it!
