Welcome to the 5 Day FITMAS challenge! 5 workouts in 5 days to whip you into shape over the festive season. There's a large variety of different styles and exercises to suit all levels of exercisers. Minimal equipment, minimal space and lots of heart pumping, muscle burning combinations to engage both mind and body.
THE WORKOUTS ARE:
Day 1 Fusion Flow (51 mins): you will work your way through a number of flowing cardio style exercises as well as standing sculpting moves to specifically target the lower body. You will then move to some light weight combination moves to burn out your arms and shoulders and finally go down to the mat to work your abs.
Day 2 Fusion Sculpt (52 mins): you will start with a flowing warm up of dynamic stretch fusion exercises, then move to a standing barre series, a glute series leaning on a chair, then dynamic plie exercises to finish the lower body portion. You will then use slightly heavier weights to work the upper body and finish with abs.
Day 3 Cardio Sculpt (48 mins): you will start with cardio combinations before hitting the lower body hard with various squats and lunges using the towel. You will then move into a down dog leg raise set that includes mini hand stands. Then a high energy cardio segment before moving to the mat to finish with some leg raises and a challenging abs set.
Day 4 Cardio Box Sculpt (47 mins): you will use light hand weights to intensify a large variety of boxing combinations that also engage the lower body. You will then move to a standing resistance loop segment and then move to the mat to chisel your abs.
Day 5 – Cardio Mat (48 mins): you will start with a high energy cardio segment, then move to the mat and use a light hand weight behind your knee to intensify all your favourite glute, outer thigh, pretzel and inner thigh exercises. Finally there is a tough abs.

What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them! Get ready to sweat, puff and burn - hopefully you'll love every minute of it!
