GET ALL 4 HIIT WORKOUTS

Welcome to the HIIT Series. These workouts use intervals of 50 seconds of work with 10 seconds of rest to increase your heart rate and let it recover just enough to keep you in the fat burning zone. In this series you will see more cardio focused workouts, as well as some strength based mat workouts to challenge your body in all different ways.

THE WORKOUTS ARE:

Arms and Abs (29 mins): you will see lots of fun squat, kick and lunge combinations. There's a bit of boxing, some plank variations, targeted core work and lots of balance challenge moves.

Mat Workout (28 mins): you will see all your favourite Pilates mat exercises predominantly for the lower body. There are glute raises in table top, down dog leg raises, side hydrants, inner thigh cross overs, glute bridge variations with both legs and single legs and some lying inner thigh and abs combinations.

HIIT Combinations (29 mins): You will see more complex combinations to challenge your mind and muscles. There are lots of lunge and squat combinations as well as down dog and crouching moves and some side leg raise to side plank variations.

HIIT Barre (30 mins): you will see all your favourite barre moves such as wide plie squats, parallel and turned out barre squats and tucks as well as glute and side leg raises with some oblique work thrown in. All the moves are compound moves engaging both the upper and lower body with light hand weights to increase the intensity.

What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them! Get ready to sweat, puff and burn - hopefully you'll love every minute of it!
