Welcome to the Strength Express series. These 15 minute workouts will use 50 second intervals with 10 seconds of rest along with heavier weights than usual, to sculpt a lean physique. You will see a lot of more traditional weight training exercises, coupled with barre style burn outs to fully fatigue each muscle group. Do the workouts individually if you are short on time, or string a few together for a total body challenge.
THE SET INCLUDES:
Arms (17): you will use light, medium and heavy dumbbells to work your biceps, triceps, shoulders and upper back all in sets of 3 with variations.
Lower Mat (19): you will start with a glute bridge, side laying outer thigh sequence and finally a table top glute raise with a prone double glute raise finisher
Chest & Back (18): you will start with bent over row variations, then a chest scoop and elbow squeezes, then a renegade row, chest press, chest flies, back extensions with push ups.
Obliques (18): start with pretzel side bend variations, then a straight leg oblique crunch with various rep patterns, finally a laying bicycle series.
Squats (17): start with regular squats with different rep patterns, a wide plie squat, narrow squat, staggered squats and side to side stepping squat.
Standing Abs (18): start with cross body punches, then windmills, leg sweeps with arm chops, waist rotations, knee to elbow crunches and a side to side ski twist.

What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them! Get ready to sweat, puff and burn - hopefully you'll love every minute of it!
