5 of 5 No-Dread Cardio/Light Toning in Bare Feet March 26, 2015

I followed the advanced modifier and got a sweaty, fun workout with bare feet on a mat.  I have no dread pulling this workout regularly.  (So many workouts are more intense but a waste of money because I dread doing them and seldom reach for them.)  Suzanne mixes things up and keeps it interesting.  I'd love to see a Barre Amped Cardio II!  This and Tighten Tone & Torch are my favorite Suzanne Bowen workouts.

I enjoy Suzanne Bowen as an instructor and own the other Barre Amped workouts.  She is clear with instructions and I can feel the work.  I am an intermediate exerciser with bad knees and I felt I got my heart rate up without hurting my knees.  I own a large library of barre workout and feel this offers something very different and fun.  The workout also demonstrates different levels so there is room to advance.

This is an excellent and enjoyable workout. All of the segments are very well structured, effective, and tough without being over the top. My HR remained elevated throughout. I burned 432 calories and worked up a good sweat. Exercise time for me is at a premium and this is an efficient and fun use of 75 minutes.

I did all three workouts yesterday and burned 453 calories.  That's pretty good in my book.  The tabata wasn't as hard as in other workouts yet it still got my heart rate up there.  I love that Suzanne doesn't include burpees. I'm 42 and at a point were I'd like to workout efficiently and effectively without knocking myself out.  These workouts help me do that.  Wish there was more upper body work included, but that's not a biggie.
