I really like this workout. It is a keeper for me, even if I don't do it for awhile. I really like the boxing portion and have done it as a stand-alone multiple times. The boxing portion is my favorite part of this; the combos are interesting but not too complex, and there wasn't anything too different or strange. I didn't have much trouble following this workout; at least, after watching the first rep or two. Overall, I found the choreography very easy to follow; you are doing pretty simple punch combos, except for the very last combo, which is a jab-punch-hook-upper, then opposite arm upper/punch down, and THEN, body shot each side.

TLC have two 30 mins. workouts (as all her 30 Minutes to Fitness series),  "Boxing" and "Conditioning" which I absolutely love!  The music is great, the combos are fun and Kelly is a great instructor as usual (she always makes me smile!).  This Dvd have several premixes, but I've only tried the "Cardio Express 15 mins." one so far, and I wished the edition was better, it still was a great quick workout though.  The main workouts are AMAZING, I always wear my weighted gloves which up the intensity, and at the end I'm dripping sweat and feeling like a CHAMPION!  Love it and totally recomend it!!

I love the intensity of this workout without huge impact not eh joints. Easy to follow kelly always makes sure you are not stuck learning complex moves. I love the music in this one (esp the Irish song). The punch combos are fun and makes you feel very athletic. There is a modifier there too. Your upper body and arms will be on fire.

Like the other DVDs in Kelly’s “30 Minutes to Fitness” series, “Train Like a Contender” includes two 30-minute workouts, as well as several premixes and bonuses.  The two main workouts are Boxing, and Conditioning (a bodyweight-only boxing conditioning workout which produces a cardio effect).  I would rate the workouts as intermediate when performed without weighted gloves, and intermediate/advanced with the gloves.

Kelly clearly put a lot of thought into developing TLC.  The boxing segments hit just the right blend of being varied and interesting, yet easy to follow, and are different enough from those in her “Circuit Burn” DVD to make buying both DVDs worthwhile.  Kelly and crew look like they’re having a blast, the music is great, and after each workout I look forward to my next session of “training like a contender”.

The boxing in this one is the best!!  Kelly breaks down each of the combinations and builds on them.  I found I was able to learn the choreography and really get into this workout.   I feel empowered and strong when I'm done!
