I don't care much for pilates, even though I understand its benefits. But Lisa makes it enjoyable because the pilates segments are mixed in with cardio and toning segments. Ms. Corsello is graceful and soft-spoken but you know she means business when she has you doing walking pushups a couple of minutes into the warmup. I agree with another reviewer that this workout never really reaches an advanced level, but I definitely felt adequately challenged. Lisa keeps a quick pace with lots of variety and the time flies. The production values are not as polished as other DVDs I have but I can forgive that if both the instructor and workout are worth it, and this one fits the bill. 4.5 stars

I just recently learned of this workout.  I have done it twice and both times loved it.  Covers a lot plus you get the benefit of the cardio intervals which for me were not easy but doable. She gives great instruction plus modifications if you need them.  Lisa was great...low key, good cues and a very likable instructor.  Wish she had more DVDs.

I am NOT a pilates fan -- I lean toward Cathe, kettlebells, KCM, Jari Love, The Firm and Tracie Long -- but the clip looked intriguing, so I purchased this.  I'm glad I did!  There's no way you can get bored with this workout  because, as with the Firm, she moves from one set of exercises to another.  She gives wonderful form pointers throughout.  I do the workout with the music (there's an option for that) because I think the music would drive me crazy.  The filming is pretty bad, too, but I still have no regrets about buying this.  It's a good workout to do for those days I can't get motivated because it only requires a mat, bare feet and some light weights. It's not too hard that I dread doing it and not too easy that I feel I've wasted my time.  I'd rank this as intermediate to high intermediate.  If you can forgive non-glossy production values, give this a try!

I love this DVD.  The workout is challenging and complete.  There are three cardio sections sprinkled in with toning and strengthening.  I love Lisa Corsello.  She is a fantastic instructor.  I am an intermediate exerciser and this DVD is hard for me but it's totally worth it.  I am getting stronger and looking better each time I do this workout.

This dvd is a class from the Burn studio in San Francisco taught by Lisa Corsello. It uses minimal equipment-weights and a mat. It starts with a cardio warm up-like any Lotte Berk style class. It is chaptered nicely, and you can choose segments to play or skip ahead to the next one easily enough. There are 3 cardio segments intermixed between body part focused pilates and light weights. There are burpees, and mountain climbers for those of you who do not like those- I would avoid this workout. I am not really crazy about them myself. Lisa is calm and collected but you can tell she herself is getting exhausted at times. This is a nice offering from a hip studio in SF, CA. It is much like any other barre-Pilates studio workout I have tried in the past. I liked it and will use it from time to time.
