5 of 5 Another winner! October 18, 2015

I really like this! As for all my Cathe workouts I am drenched in sweat when done. I did have to modify a few exercises however. I have to be careful with my knees so I jogged in place during the ones where I had to jump up then down and do a push up. I also always modify push ups with a stability ball. I love the circuit workouts the best.

5 of 5 Great shorter workout for time crunched mornings December 20, 2014
Reviewer: Bubbles76 from Jackson, NJ United States
This is a great, tough workout, clocking in at under 45 minutes! There are six rounds consisting of four exercises per round - one straight cardio, one leg focused cardio, one compound strength, and one core exercise, which is either cardio (like squat thrusts) or strength focused (like plank pushups). All of the cardio moves are simple, drill moves like frog jumps, air jacks, lateral jumps, air squats, squat jumps, plyo squats, etc. There are plenty of plyo moves. The strength exercises were done with weighted, unweighted, and with a band (I used tubing). There were some very creative compound moves and core based moves. So glad there wasn't a single crunch or sit up! I feel like all muscles were hit at least once, except for triceps. Shoulders, legs, and chest (because of the pushups)were hit pretty good. Although this is a circuit workout, I would classify it as more cardio than strength.  One of Cathe's more accessible, but still tough, workouts!

5 of 5 Great Circuit July 16, 2014

This almost feels like a premix of a full body circuit workout since it is shorter and flies by.  I do wish it was longer, however it gets the job done and hits the entire body.  It is a bit easier, but can be modified to be harder (heavier weights, higher impact cardio, jumping jacks between sets, etc.)  Fun and fast.

This is a favorite of mine. It is higher impact, with lots of jumps, but Cathe adds in water breaks between the circuits and sequences the exercises well so that the joints get a little rest. The workout could also easily be done without the step, as it's only used for a couple of moves which could be moved to the floor and still pack a punch.

It's only 44 minutes start to finish and with six circuits of four exercises each, it is over before I know it. It is certainly not Cathe's most difficult, yet it is definitely advanced with all the jumps and more difficult variations of core moves included. Cathe does show modifications for several of these during the brief rests, but there are no modifications for impact.

The music is okay. I don't notice it much in this one as the segments are short and intense, and I'm focusing on the workout.

4 of 5 Good Cardio Circuit workout July 16, 2010
Reviewer: Raelene Rios from Cordova, TN United States
Now this is NOT like her older workouts--this is more shorter, and not as hard as her other ones.

I gave this 4 stars only because I wish this was longer, or at least had more use of "weights". However, being that there was more cardio then weights, I actually prefer to use this as an "add on" or "Cardio Circuit blast" workout.

There is no boredom in this workout, I really like it. Just think it was too short. However, again it is good for an add-on.

My other complaint is when she jumps on the high risers with both legs. To me, that is not safe--and I'm an advanced exerciser..HOWEVER, just jump using 2-3 risers ...you will get a good workout even doing that. ;)

I also wish there was a section just on abs (or at least added).

Overall, this one is a keeper. :) Just be sure you can actually jump 14 inches high on your step before you start doing it--especially if you have knee problems.
