I can't always keep up the pace of Mike and his fitness talent but there's no shame in that; I go at my own pace as needed and still get an excellent workout. I find Mr. Donavanik very inspiring, he truly believes you can do it and motivates me to keep going.

I just completed sort of a Mike rotation with all 3 of his dvds.  I would say that this dvd is his best and toughest. In 40 min. he works your total body and I am a sweaty mess. I think all his workouts are pretty much the same format and all have similar moves, but the cardio sections are a little tougher in this. If I remember the 1st workout has more upper body emphasis and the 2nd is more lower body. I didn't give it 5 stars because he has lousy music and no chaptering. He also gets very annoying to listen too, but the workout suites what I need in a short amount of time.

Although Mike Donavanik is a relative newcomer to instructing fitness DVDs, he is clearly very experienced. He knows the exact point at which you want to sneak a breather, and yells, “Don’t stop! Do NOT stop!” (This always works on me.) Mike carries that enthusiasm throughout both workouts on this DVD, providing continuous motivation and form pointers. The countdown timer and name of each exercise on the screen also help to keep you motivated.

These are both metabolic-style workouts with lots of compound movements that will keep your muscles firing and your heart-rate elevated.
