Booty Barre is a fluid blend of Pilates, Dance and Yoga and the perfect balance of strength, flexibility and cardio. The Beginners & Beyond Series consists of a technique tutorial to learn the correct form of the Booty Barre and an express 35 minute version of the Booty Barre that targets the total body, from top to toe. The program starts with a quick warm-up followed by the signature lower body Booty Barre moves finishing off with a short weighted arm program. For an extra challenge, we've included a bonus section of abdominals, booty and flexibility.

I am a big fan of Tracey, especially her athletic workouts like F.I.T. and Absolution. I gave the original Booty Barre a try, but it sat on the shelf because I was not ready for it. When the Beginners dvd was released, I jumped on it.  Not only did I like the shorter duration, I liked her form pointers in the separate chapter.  They enhance the Beginner workout and the other Booty Barres.

I agree with Ruth, this workout is not just for beginners.  It is a great intermediate-level workout and really has done wonders for my inner and outer thigh/hip area.  I've been doing it for about 3 weeks and I still haven't followed along with the girl doing the advanced routine.  It is challenging and enjoyable.

Tracey Mallett's newest Booty Barre workout is aimed at beginners, but don't let that put you off trying it.  The workout is slower paced, has less repetitions and is as a result a lot less strenuous than her original BB, but it still delivers a surprisingly good workout.    If the original one was a bit too much, try Beginners and Beyond. I am really glad I bought it and it is my current favorite barre workout.
