A nice thing about this DVD is that you can make it as difficult as you'd like. If you're experiencing some dread factor, go lighter and/or do some of the cardio modifications. Jari is very motivating, but in a quiet way. She and the background exercisers demonstrate a variety of ways to do each exercise. A person could grow with this one, making things more challenging as they advance. This is an earlier Jari DVD that uses the brighter set, which I prefer. This is an excellent high rep weight training/cardio workout.

Jari Love makes a clear and simple workout that will leave your body worked. Her cardio is easy to follow and you can really get a solid sweat. I find that there is nothing innovative about this one. It is great simple workout but nothing to write home about.

Not complicated, but gets the heartrate up July 11, 2014

What I appreciate about this dvd, is that the cardio segments are not tricky with lots of complicated choreography. It seems a little repetitive, but maybe that is just that there are so many reps in each cardio segment. It's lower body focused in weights, so I try to double down on upper body weights another day of the week to make up for it. It's a good workout.

Nice Total Body Circuit Workout July 6, 2014

This is a total body, high rep/low weight workout with cardio intervals interspersed throughout. The cardio intervals are about 45-60 seconds. They are mostly jacks off the bench, skiers, toe taps, step ups, football run, and jumps over the bench. Nothing overly complicated, but they do get the heart rate up. She has many, many reps (average around 50) for each move. Several exercises are done off the step, making it a little more challenging. Jari show many modifications for the strength and cardio portions of the workout.

Here is a breakdown of the exercises:

Side Squat (1 set per leg)
Lunge Back (1 set per leg)
Anterior Raise
Pulse Squats (1 set each leg)
Pulse Lunges (1 set each leg)
Push Ups (70 push ups!!!)
Clean and Press
Squat and Press
Wide Squat

Great Circuit Workout! November 2, 2009

This workout combines Jari's high-rep, low weight exercises with cardio segments.  Great way to get it all in, in under an hour (although the total run time is 70 min., the actual workout clocks in just under 60).

The cardio is athletic (non-dancy) and easy to follow.  Several intensity options are shown (as well as with/without a step).

The weight segments incorporate some compound and some isolation exercises.  Really great leg work! My only complaint (as with some of Jari's other workouts) is that there isn't enough biceps and triceps work for my taste.
