Cardio Core Circuit, 51 minutes, is broken into five fitness rounds and is very cardio intensive. In each round you will do three short cardio drills back to back and then repeat them (so it's six cardio bursts per round). After each of these cardio groupings you will do intense functional core work. Other than an exercise mat, no equipment is needed for this workout.

Another winner! I really liked this but must admit I had to modify a few of the exercises. I can't do burpees or anything where I have to jump down then up so I did the jumping and pylo jacks when I couldn't do some of the moves. This was excellent, though, to get my heart rate up. I was soaked when I was done!
I thought this was very good! Love you, Cathe!

This workout is often overlooked and I don't know why.  It is one of my favorite DVDs by Cathe.  This workout reminds me of HiiT-style workouts.  You do rounds of high impact (watch those knees) that skyrocket your HR and keep it up with minimal rest sets before moving to the next exercise.  There are 5 rounds, all separated by unique ab work.  It is 50 min, which flies by and longer than regular HiiT workouts (usually 30 min).  Also, no equipment needed, so very nice to take on travel.  I am always a sweaty accomplished mess after this workout.

This is a great cardio workout. I usually like to do the premix that removes the core exercises just to keep my heart rate nice and high. Cathe moves through 5 rounds, with 3 cardio moves (each done twice) and then one core move in each round. (I believe there is also a premix that moves through each cardio section once; I've done that one a couple of times.) This workout flies by for me. The cardio moves are fun and include burpees, tuck jumps, and even Rockette-style kicks at the end. This is a tough DVD, but I always feel more energized than exhausted at the end.

This is one of the better offerings from the "Shock Cardio" series; some of the other DVDs were criticised as not being up to “Cathe” intensity levels, but “Cardio Core Circuit” delivers. There's intense cardio, MMA-inspired core-strengthening moves, and great music. In short, it’s just plain fun!
