Good but not great July 8, 2014

I love powerstike workouts, so I wanted to love this one. However, I found it to be so-so. In the beginnin, the music is loud and drowns out Ilaria's cues in some instances. Also, I noticed in the warm up that Ilaria is slightly off beat. I loved the punches and kicking drills,especially when you do 2 front kicks, squat and cresent kick drill 100 times! Up to this point, the workout is pretty good.The combos, however, are complex and awkward in my opinion. The combo moves are not longer, but they are repeated for about 3 minutes so it seems to go on forever. I think the cueing could have been better. Also, I felt that the moves were too fast to fully execute the kicks. (Or maybe I'm just slow ). Overall, I didn't hate the workout and I got hot and sweaty, but I felt it needed a lot of improvements.

instructors love for kickboxing makes this Dvd July 6, 2014

At first I was not sure on the Dvd because of her style but I feel in love with her passion and so motivating. I love kickboxing and the rythym to her moves really gets the body moving in a wonderful way. You will have challenged your mind, body and spirit. A really fun workout.

I live this workout.  However, the sound track on the DVD is bad.  The music is so loud that it's hard to hear Ilaria's instruction.  I had to do the workout several times before I understood all the cues.

I hope you like crescent kicks, because you'll be doing 100 of them. And that's just during the warmup! You'll do even more during the actual routines.

Ilaria vets should know how a Powerstrike workout flows, as Volume 7 follows the same formula. However, the pace and choreography have been amped up, so mastery of previous Powerstrike workouts is essential.

The intensity rarely eases up. It may make learning the combinations difficult initially, but you get your full money's worth in the end. I didn't particularly enjoy the music; but once I started doing all those crescent kicks, it faded into oblivion.
