The Intensity Series Volume 2 contains two Cathe workouts, Boot Camp and Muscle Endurance plus a Bonus Combo.

Boot Camp......Hang on to your hats because there is literally not a minute to waste in this head to toe fitness workout. With every 60 seconds that tick by, you'll be jumping, pumping, pushing, and crunching your way to a fitter you. We won't promise any fancy military talk here, but we will promise a fancy military press ....did somebody say "terminators", yikes! Load up, lace up, and let's go! Equipment needed: a 14 inch tall bench, a barbell, various weighted dumbbells, and a medicine ball (we will use an 8 pound medicine ball) PreMix Combos: We've included 8 Premix Combos with this workout, including: 1) Cardio Only 2) Core Only 3) Kickbox Only 4) Upper Body Only 5) Lower Body Only 6) Lower and Upper Body Only 7) Cardio and Lower Body Only 8) Everything but core.

Boot Camp Format: warm-up (5 1/2 min.), eight cycles of cardio, lower body, upper body, core (51 min.), stretch (1 1/2 min.) Total = 58 min.

Muscle Endurance This high rep, total body conditioning workout not only increases functional fitness gains, but it promotes nicely shaped and defined muscles. You'll experience maximum muscular endurance gains along with strength gains as you challenge each of the major muscle groups through a wide variety of exercises. Do this workout one to three times per week and you'll soon enjoy the benefits of improved posture, increased bone density, and an overall healthy, happier you. Equipment needed: A step bench, barbell, various weighted dumbbells, and a medicine ball (we will use an 8 pound medicine ball)

Muscle Endurance Format: warm-up (6 min.), weight training (45 min.), Abs (9 1/2 min.), stretch (4 min.) Total = 64 1/2 min.

This was some workout! As one reviewer said it is something when Cathe is breathless after the exercises. Again, on my exertion/sweating scale from 1-10 this was an 11. I just love working out with Cathe! She is so down to earth!

As another reviewer commented, it's amazing that this DVD is over 12 years old, because it still stands the test of time. In fact, this workout has become the gold standard for bootcamp workouts.

It's a challenging sweatfest which will keep your body challenged and your mind engaged every time.

BOOT CAMP:  full body workout that just flies by - the hour is over before you know it.  Great variety to keep me engaged.

Muscle Endurance: I love doing this workout since I sometimes do heavy weight too often.  This one reminds me to lower the weights and up the reps for great endurance results, all while still feeling the burn.

I have almost all of Cathe's DVDs.  I just purchased this and even though the DVD is from 2002 it is state of the art.  The variety is incredible. With Boot Camp you have the combination of cardio and strength training. Time flies and before you know it the workout is over.

With  Muscle Endurance, it is a total weight training workout. However you will also get your heart rate up. Once again, I enjoyed the variety so much that the hour + flew by.

I am still amazed that the this DVD is over 12 years old.  It is a great addition to anyone's DVD library and definitely an advanced workout.

Cathe begins the workout with a thorough warm up. The very first exercise is leg presses the mini step (six risers!) while carrying a ten pound plate. Next  are low end squats. Next deadlits, one arm rows, clean and press w/rows, and bicep curls using the crazy 8's routine.

And if your butt isn't tired, another set of leg presses off the mini step with the 10 pound weight plate. After that are lunges with the low ends. Next are chest flyes , pushups,tricep dips off the mini step, leaning ticep kickbacks, overhead press w/plate.

The final set of leg presses off the mini step! Next there is a new move called butt lifts. Amazing.  I think my butt got dizzy: yes it happens!! I think there are 25 reps per leg. To round out the workout, there is shoulder work: standing rotation press, front/side raises, bent arm lateral raises, abs work, and a relaxing stretch.

This is a GREAT workout, with varied exercises, and low dread factor.
