The inspiration for this program came from the many letters Callan received from people who needed to learn the fundamentals of Callanetics at a slower pace. It's effective and easy to follow. This 30-minute workout is perfect for people starting out on the Callanetics exercise program or for those of you who feel thoroughly deconditioned or have experienced limitations in your range of motion.

The 30 minutes total workout  time in the description is wrong. I suppose if you forwarded through the instructional segments it could be 30 minutes.

I have the Quick Callanetics DVD which I use during the work week. The Beginning Callanetics I do on the weekend. I find it relaxing but effective, The total running time is just under an hour. This includes a short segment for the back.

Callan & Lane demonstrate each exercise and then the other students perform the exercise. Each student has a modification.

No dread factor here.

This workout would be great for active seniors and those with back problems.
