This one really works for me... works the different areas just enough to feel a good workout...This one is not so hard that you think it is impossible to do... pleasant instructor...

5 of 5 Jennifer makes ballet moves accessible July 6, 2014

I never took ballet when i was younger, but I wanted to give some ballet workouts a try.  I've tried the original Booty Barre and like Tracey Mallett; however, it's a long program and something I need to work up to.  Jennifer Galardi is one of my favorites and I enjoy the design of her Ballet Body program.  You can do the long form workout, or the individual routines.  Plenty of balance challenges and opportunities to practice being more graceful.

5 of 5 Feel Good and Feel Worked! July 6, 2014
Reviewer: Ruth Rousseau from Ottersberg, Niedersachsen Germany
I would say the subtitle is very apt as this workout really makes you feel good during and after. I can't say for sure that doing it consistently would get you a lean, dancer's body because while the exercises do feel effective, they don't really work any muscle group to fatigue (which I expect is involved in those long, lean bodies)
The DVD offers two options: play all, and select your workout. There is not the option of costumising your own workout.
Each segment works well as a stand-alone, or as an add-on, although I would recommend warming up before diving into any of the other four segments (especially the stretch!) and stretching after the warm-up, strength or floor barre. The balance chapter includes nice stretches that could be sufficient.
I think this workout is good for beginner to intermediate exercisers. It's not extenuating and I enjoy it as a treat sometimes. I even reacquired it after trading it away once!

5 of 5 Makes Me Wish I Had Been a Ballerina! July 6, 2014

I don't know why, but this is still one of my favorite Jennifer Galardi workouts! I love this workout even though I am not really that graceful. Jennifer moves at a pace that forces you to focus on good form. I am not sure if I would call it a cardio workout or toning workout, but it definitely has a fusion feel. I find the exercises that Jennifer includes in this workout are totally doable even for more of a beginner. I also love the way Jennifer works abs in a standing position, gives the workout something different.

5 of 5 Pleasant workout! July 2, 2014

This is a nice fusion/ballet workout. She sneaks in some traditional toning with weights (no 2 lbs with a million pulses here), there's some yoga inspired moves, the floor barre is interesting for something different. The plie section felt a bit tedious and repetitious to me but it gives a cardio benefit and is over quickly. She takes her time in the final stretch which is a nice change from workouts that rush through the cool down. Jennifer is friendly and knowledgeable and cues well.

This is a lovely workout. The music is wonderful, Jennifer is a terrific instructor. She is very fluent and explains everything just right! She is not annoying at all. Her verbal cuing in spot on-espescially wen you are doing the final stretches ands cannot see what to do. This is a good workout. The set, background exercisers and music are high quality too. It is an hour long of standing, floor and yoga stretch.

I am so bad at keeping up with dance type routines but this is great even for me.  With instructions and examples that are easy to follow and little 'dancing' I find this to be one of my favorite routines.  I feel at the end of the video that I have challenged myself and did a great overall body tone without bulking up.  I hope Jennifer produces more routines that are similar to this one.

5 of 5 Sooo Pleasant! This one is BLISS! January 11, 2010

I love ballet and dance workouts in general.  And, Jen is one of my favorite instructors. But, this dvd actually feels unique as well, so that's extra bonus.  Being Ballet, it's more tranquil and strength focused than Jen's other dance-cardio workouts.  Also, it's a MAJOR upgrade from the ballet segment of her Prevention dvd.  It's just so...pleasant!  From the music to the soothing soft white lighting of the set, to the pace, to the pace of the chatter.  It's got an AMAZINGLY positive vibe...and actually provides and little cardio to go along with it's stretchy strength work.  Awesome.  I love it!
