I am quite new to Jari, I have 3 of her dvds. This is my favourite. I love that I can get a great workout without high impact moves and feel thoroughly worked out afterwards.
I also sometimes add a couple of segments on to my cardio workouts. I'll do 30 minutes on the rower and then do a couple of segments to round out my workout.

This workout is easy to follow and no nonsense. I was sore the next day. There is a count down timer at the bottom of the screen so you know how long the segments last - which was helpful. Jari is encouraging and gives straightforward instruction. I love her new set and cast members! This is such an improvement over her old dark set. I have both of these new DVDs and I love them and am using them frequently in my rotation. I know they are kind of pricey but I feel with as much use as they are getting they have been well worth it. I hope she produces more of these.

I hesitated to buy this dvd because of the "advanced" level rating. I'm so glad I did! Jari is a no-nonsense instructor. There is no body image talk, which I hate. This is weight training with a cardio effect. The time goes fast and the count down bar on the bottom of the screen is very motivating. This workout is for everyone. I am 55 and just got back into exercise. I modified some of the moves and used light weights. It is very doable. The only thing I would caution about are the squats. There are a lot of them. I don't have great knees, but I was able to do shallow squats or no squats in parts. Total Fitness DVDs are the best for fast shipping and a great return policy. I do think this should be rated for all levels though.

I've done this twice now and really love it. It is very much like a metabolic training workout with lots of compound moves with moderate weight and lots of reps. I like the format of 6 minute blocks with 2 exercises per block, each exercise has 6 sets and an active recovery is also between each set which basically allows you to do more leg work if you like. She works all major muscles at least 2 times among the various blocks, so you can get a full body workout without doing all the blocks if you are short on time. There are also lots of intensity options. Jari uses a step for some moves with 2 risers. I am more intermediate and did not use the step, or you could lower the height. I also modify some active rests so I do not burn out my legs, and sometimes do different leg moves as her moves are very squat focused. Overall this is an awesome workout that provides some great metabolic training with lots of options.

I love Jari and have most of her dvd's.  This is a great offering, as it works your entire upper and lower body throughout.  Be forewarned though, there are ALOT of squats if you have knee problems.  Nothing fancy here, basic moves that can get repetitive BUT there is a time bar at the bottom (which I loved) that helped with that.  As another reviewer has said, the other shorter workouts seem like they could have been premixes on the 1st dvd - kind of silly to waste another disc on those, but I am happy with this workout and will reach for it often!

Nice to see Jari back......has it really been four years? The dark set with the flashing lights is gone, and the ladies here are brightly lit. I enjoyed this workout in its entirety although I would rate it INT/ADV due to the nicely timed active recovery segments. The music is the same but I have always liked Jari's music.  I'm not sure why the shorter workouts on Disc 2 couldn't just be premixes on the original disc and wonder if it's just a reason to hike the price.  (Note - may I add that I received my DVD *TWO DAYS* after ordering from TFD - now THAT is five-star service!)

I agree with all of the above.  Bright set for a change, motivating music and a good cardio and strength workout.  I have only done the shorter ones and she sure gets a lot done in 30 minutes.  Got my heart rate up and I did sweat.  It's a keeper for me.

I love this workout because it's simple.  No fancy combos.  Just basic combinations and great all-over strength workout.  I also love the music, very uplifting. Jari suggests using between 3lb and 8lb dumbbells.  You need a lighter and a heavier set, an optional step and mat.

The last few offering's from Jari were too dark and drab. The set on this is better and brighter. Amazing how Jari can get my heart rate up with sculpting. I got a cardio workout while doing weights.  This was not the most fun workout ever.. but I was effective and the time went by fast. I did the full 60 minutes and feel all my muscles got a nice burn. Will be returning to it for sure when total body endurance strength/with a cardio effect with no impact is wanted!!
