5 of 5 Great Lower Body Workout August 19, 2014

I wish Tracy would release more workouts.  Her approach to fitness is a little different and can appeal to Barre buffs and more traditional exercisers.  My legs were shaking like crazy in this workout, and I had a hard time to complete all the sets which I love!  Means I have something to work towards.  She's always motivating, and the sets are beautiful.  She actually created the art you see displayed on set.

4 of 5 A leg burner July 25, 2014

I enjoyed this one a lot the first many times I did it. I just redid it after working with people that are barre excepts like Suzanne Bowen and I noticed Tracy queuing could be better. Her form is strange in many of the barre like moves. I think its fun but be careful on form maybe learn from a barre except first. But the set is lovely and the filming is great.

4 of 5 Burn July 19, 2014

Time flies by quickly in this one. There are things I like and dislike about the workout. I skipped the warmup because rapid fire deadlifts are not for me (I was already warned up, regardless, from a cardio workout).  Loved the first two sections (plies and lunges). Tracy gave form pointers and was encouraging. I really felt the exercises, too. The last section (4 way thighs) was difficult for me because I could not seem to get into the position she was holding. It's a pelvic tuck. Also, the way she had you holding the chair felt really awkward to me, so between that and trying to get into the pelvic tilt, I definitely wasn't hitting my muscles correctly. Next time, I'm going to change the way I hold the chair and do the moves w/out the pelvic tilt (don't think the latter is necessary, as I've seen most of those moves in other barre workouts).

5 of 5 More intensity from Tracy! July 13, 2014
Reviewer: RedPanda from Australia
I love Tracy Effinger's athletic take on barre. This lower-body workout is aptly named, because it certainly is a challenge.

As other reviewers have noted, Tracy doesn't provide a real warm-up, so you will want to do your own, or use this as an add-on. After you've warmed up, get ready for 30 minutes of booty-burning and leg reshaping.

Tracy is a very engaging and enthusiastic instructor who provides precise instructions, and is working hard with you.

I like it.  I really really like it.  But, you want to know WHY, huh?  Okay, it's consistently challenging, but it's SHORT.  It's kinda-barre...but it's different from other barre dvds (not so ballet).  Now, I love all barre dvds, but it's nice to have one that's unique every now and then.  There are gobs of deadlifts-and I happen to love dead lifts.  But, it's the work at the barre that's challenging, going from one move into the next, some being unigue, with lots of reps.  So, if you need it to be easier, you can modify by putting a foot down between reps or something.  But, you CAN make it nice and challenging.  Well cued, too, btw.

5 of 5 Strong workout for deep muscles May 5, 2009
Reviewer: Mantragirl from San Francisco
A great workout where a lot of the moves are coming from the callanetics and make the deeper muscles working, giving faster results.
The stronger you'll get, the more you'll be able to engage the right muscles while keeping the proper alignement and the harder it will be.

A good workout on its own or after cardio.

4 of 5 Leg burner! March 17, 2009

Tracy's work is really incredible and LBC is another sample of that.  These excercises are leg burners!  Love the workout - an excellent add on to a cardio day or by itself.
