I used to use this video in my 20s in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. My body was tight! Guys would ask if I “worked out” meaning with weights. Throughout the various stages of my life I have resorted back to this video. After having babies I used it, in my 40sI used it. Here I am again in my 50s looking for a copy of this video. (Why I keep giving it away, I don’t know!) I’m so glad I found this video again. It’s a video that you can use old or young, in shape or out of shape. I can’t wait to get started again on this video. Greg Smithey is now like a old friend to me! He motivates me to get back in the game, enjoy my workouts, eat healthier and lose weight! (Yes it’s cheesy and old but I don’t care! The workouts are timeless!)

Wow - I am one of those 80's people..the hair/dress was me!!!  I have been exercising since my mid 20's and in pretty good shape.  But, I looked in the mirror the other day and my rear end does not match my body.....I always knew about Buns of Steel but - I really didn't need it before......until now.....LOL.....NOTHING gets close to working those butt muscles like this dvd. I'm so glad that I bought this finally - it is a blast from the past and it DOES work the butt.  My first time working out I had to stop when he talked about cheeseburgers - I just couldn't do anymore.  Yesterday I worked out again and got to "it's magic" part so I am able to get more and more done.  So my plan is to work out every other day with this Buns of Steel workout and everyday do my cardio stuff.  I'm glad I chose this video over all the other stuff out there because this is exactly what I was looking for to work out (stretching, concentrating on buns) and no chairs, etc. to use.  Thank you Greg Smithey.

I did this workout for the first time today.  It was on sale so I bought it on impulse.  It's very stinky cheese and so dated, but the mat work is valuable.  The instructor is too funny, and I got such a kick out of the 80's outfits and hairstyles.  The evolution of fitness is interesting. I have a huge collection of fitness DVDs going back to the 90's.  Even though this workout is very dated, the mat work is similar to what you might find in modern barre workouts.  I added weights to the warm up section so I could fit in a little arm work.  I think in the future, I'll skip that and just add the mat work to another workout.  It was fun.

I have 3 VHS tapes as the excercise works so well and FINALLY found it on DVD!
I tried to get someone to make me a DVD years ago but with the copyright and all.
Thanks so much!

I love this workout. It's full of tough, effective floorwork, and Greg Smithey is so funny you get some extra ab work from laughing. (He tells you to squeeze out the cheeseburgers, among other gems.) I also like to keep my mind off the pain by checking out the grimaces (and outfits!) on the background exercisers.

I usually skip the aerobic warm up and go straight for the leg work. It's lots of classic side lying leg lift variations followed by all fours work and then a quick ab section. If you like floorwork you definitely need this DVD!
