5 of 5 Tough November 8, 2015

The good news, it's over before you know it and it's tough enough to give you great results. The bad news, it's hard! Ilaria mixes it up, moving from burpees to abs to push up/plans segments. I enjoyed it, even the burpee segments, because it's challenging but you know the work is worth it.

4 of 5 Oh my abs! July 23, 2014

I thought this was going to be like Abs and Pushups. Well, there are a lot of abs, push-ups, never ending planks, and burpies done for an eternity, so you get an intense total body workout in half an hour. There is no warm up or stretch, just a solid half hour of torture, but in a good way.  The music does drown out Ilaria's voice in part of the dvd, but you can still hear enough to follow along.

4 of 5 Abs & Push-Ups Plus on steroids! July 17, 2014

Yikes — this is one tough workout! You will feel like a champion if you can make it through this one. I deducted a star because it lacked the fun factor I have come to associate with Ilaria’s workouts.

4 of 5 Tough on the abs! July 2, 2014
Reviewer: Kate Tucker from Spicer, MN United States
Much harder than original Abs/Pushups Plus. Alternates pushups and ab work with some burpees in between. Starts with 1 min burpees. Includes pushups into planks, slower pushups, lots of other plank work. More burpees (2 min and one legged for 2  min). This was tough but good!

4 of 5 an excellent challenge January 24, 2014
Reviewer: Susan W. from Texas USA
this compact workout is very challenging, like all the Atletica series but it lacks a warmup and cool down.   The emphasis is on arms and core but certainly the legs and butt get in on the action with three sets of burpees that total five minutes.  There seemed to be some microphone issues towards the end but not a game killer.  4 stars.

4 of 5 Short but Sweet December 21, 2012
Reviewer: Sean from USA
This is the shortest workout in the Atletica series (it's only 30 minutes), but it's just as intense. It's similar to Ilaria's "Abs & Pushups" DVD, though tougher and more thorough. It primarily targets the upper body and core, but also hits the legs with a series of burpees. Depending on how well you handle bodyweight exercises like pushups and planks, this workout will either be easier or harder than the other Atletica workouts.

I deducted a star because there is not a formal warmup. You simply jump (no pun intended) into burpees, which is a bit jarring. Also, there's no stretch; the workout just abruptly ends. Another minor quibble is there's an exercise where the reps seem imbalanced between arms/sides.

Otherwise, Atletica 4 provides a great, quick burn, and it's worth buying if you enjoyed the "Abs & Pushups" DVD.
