Slim Sculpting is geared toward improving your fitness level using only a kettlebell or a single dumbbell. It’s important to note that using a kettlebell really does amp up the workout!

Both workouts require great form and precise execution. There are no over–the-top positions and no over-stressing impact on the joints. All controlled moves selected are geared toward slimming down your hips and outer thighs, trimming your waistline, tightening your glutes, sculpting your arms and burning lots of calories!

…But Remember…FORM IS CRUCIAL!

Because the selection of exercises target each muscle group without over-taxing your body… these workouts fit in nicely with my philosophy that everyone should train smarter!

It’s important to note that although I do use traditional kettlebell (KB) moves, not all of the usual exercises are included. After leading numerous test classes in Olympic lifting and KBs, I have taken out a few standard moves that I determined to be too technical for many. Performing these moves incorrectly not only brings minimal benefits but can really increase the risk of injury.

So instead of focusing on moves like the cleans and snatches, I have focused on the swings.. because the swings are the keystone in KB training.

This kettle bell workout is very different than what I have been doing. I like how she changes things up and makes the workout more challenging. I have a lot of Kelly DVD's and this one is another good one.

I have many of Lauren Brooks KB workouts, but I find this one to be easier to follow, simple and well paced.  It is a whole body workout if you do both back to back (70 min), or you can alternate days and do one each day (more upper body on #1 and more lower body on #2).  The music could have been better, but it's acceptable.

This is the first Kelly Coffey-Meyer DVD I have tried.  I really enjoy this DVD.  I do the entire one hour version in the premix options  The moves and reps are effective and challenging.  I love the abs workout.  Since using this DVD, I have noticed improvement in my core and abs.  I workout 5-6 days a week, so seeing additional progress was a great motivator.  I will definitely try another one of her DVDs.  She is not over the top and motivating, as well as the music is tasteful.  Thanks Kelly for an awesome addition to my DVD collection!

I really like that Kelly recognizes that cleans and snatches are very difficult to do safely when taking a class live, let alone when you are trying to follow a DVD. She uses the kettlebell in ways I have not seen before which is usually her MO-taking traditional gym moves and "tweaking them" a bit to prevent boredome.  As always, her cuing is great and there are plenty of premixes.  The abs section on the first work out is the most challanging abs work out I have done for quite some time.
