I am so proud that you have chosen to have me as your teacher and design your healthiest body. I have dedicated over a decade to creating the tools, movements, and prescriptions to keep your muscles awake and alert and be able to give you the body you desire. No one in fitness has ever created the collection of content that the Tracy Anderson Method delivers to you. With this program, your results will never plateau or fail you like any fitness programs you may have tried in the past.

This is the first Tracy Anderson Method DVD and is a great introduction to the Method and the muscular structure workouts that you will be completing while on the Method. I recommend that you begin with this DVD first and that you use this workout to wake up your muscles, invigorate your body, and build up your stamina as you gain strong fundamentals in the Method. I offer a lot of advice in the commentary throughout the workout and it is a really comprehensive overview of the Method and an excellent starting point for any level of ability. You should do this DVD for at least 1 month or until you have mastered the entire workout and feel you have gained strength to move to the next level. This DVD should be used in conjunction with the Tracy Anderson Method Trampoline Cardio DVD. The goal of all of my DVDs is for you to become strong enough to begin Metamorphosis, which is customized by your specific body type and what all of my clients do. This is where the magic begins but it is very beneficial to learn the basics of the Method with this mat DVD first. It is crucial that you don’t stay on one of my programs too long because then the workout stops working for you and we will lose the hard work and momentum toward your goals. I really enjoyed the music in this one and the challenge of doing something so different with my body. This is not the best workout I have ever done but good for a change. I am not sure how effective her method really is it goes against all I know on what is best for our bodies. Be careful and I would not just do her workouts.

Tracy's style is very relaxing and low key. The music is always contemporary and mellow. There is an air of being in a dance studio.  This workout is great for days when you want low intensity but still want to work. She great for the lower body and the arms. This is definitely not for muscle building. Tracy is after a sleek elongated dancers body. I'm still not sure about her standing ab work tho. I feel kind big silly every time I do it. I really feel it in the legs. I may get her metamorphosis one day.

When I first got this DVD I was a little nervous because I heard that Tracy doesn't cue. (This was my first TA DVD; I've since acquired a ton of them.) I was pleasantly surprised to find that she does, in fact, cue. She has a subdued, quiet presence and that combined with the (really good) music makes this workout meditative for me.
The arm section (unweighted for what feels like forever and then a brief weighted section) is really hard and really good. It becomes almost unbearable at the end. She has a fun standing abs section that felt weird the first few times until I got the hang of it. I like the leg section but I do wish it was a bit more challenging (it's possible my form is off, I could do with a few more pointers in this section). Overall, this is a very good DVD and one of my favorites of Tracy's.
