Maximum Cardio is a total body workout designed by founder of the Firm Anna Benson. Carissa Foster uses light dumbbells, short step & medicine ball to get maximum fat loss with a giant cardio set (28 minutes). A total ody heavy weight set (11 minutes) follows with heavy weights and tall step to tone all major muscle groups. Lying side & supine core (3 minutes) preceeds a final stretch (3 minutes).

I did this for the first time the other day and it is now one of my favorite Firm workouts! It was so much fun!! The first 30 minutes or so are cardio (aside from the warm-up stretch). The cardio is a combo of ball-aerobics (high impact), low impact aerobics with light weights, and step aerobics. There is a lot of variety and it keeps things interesting. The next 15 minutes is weight work hitting the whole body and concluding with ab work. There is a nice standing and tall step stretch at the end. I really like Carissa's calm, sweet manner and clear instruction.

This workout has some of the best moves, music, cast that Anna Benson has ever put together. I just about wore out my VHS copy. To have this remastered to DVD with chaptering is an answer to prayer. Total sweat fest and plenty of compound moves. Note Carissa has a couple of spots where she says right be means left. Tho, after using the workout over and over, you get what she means. ;)
