This workout has you "climb" through four levels of intensity in 5 minutes to reach a "peak". Level 1 is recovery. It is a very brief interval to slow down and catch your breath.  Level 2 is like aerobic training. You are challenged but not breathless. Level 3 amps up intensity to border on anaerobic. Level 4 is all out, maximum blast time; usually plyometric. After doing a level 4, you get the level 1 to recover, before you ascend through level 2,3,4 again. And again. The workout maintains the same pattern, except each peak has different combos.

The moves are favorites dating back to Jane Fonda and Kathy Smith to more recent choreography put together creatively. No complexity.

It is pretty intense unless you expect Insanity every time, and yet it is a happy, no-dread workout.

There is a countdown timer at the bottom right corner which is great to pace yourself.

The music is very well done. The tempo and the mood accelerate as you move up through each level.

Michelle does a good job bringing you up and down in intensity for a great calorie burn. There's definitely a kickboxing feel to many of the ascent and climb moves while the peaks are jumping based. I also liked that she doesn't have you do burpees in this one.
