4 of 5 Very annoying Jillian, good workout January 10, 2016

Her constant banter and yelling is really hard for me to get past. It's overkill, big time.  But the workouts are good. I consider myself an advanced exerciser and the only thing I changed to make it more advanced is the weight selection. I used 8's & 10's to feel something. Honestly, I can't figure out why she uses 3 lbs.  It is designed to be more intermediate/adv. but then she uses 3 lbs? Anyway, the cardio drills are a little boring, I wished she would have switched them up and as I always say with Jillian, she never has flow to her workouts. Always fast up, down movements. I have to rewind to get the full workout. I don't do these one week at a time, I just combine a couple. No way could I listen to her for a month. I need more than a 20 min. workout. I really wish she would offer chaptering, premixes and cues only. She makes enough money. I know, wishful thinking.

You will get worked in these workouts and you will be a sweaty mess. Jillian is her regular self and I don't care that much for that but this one is a solid routine. It has interesting com bound moves that build on what you have learned. It is interesting and challenging.

I liked the effectiveness and length of the Shred workouts but I didn't like the same ol'-same ol' bootcamp moves. Jillian built creative circuits in these routines. The moves have a fusion feel to them. They definitely build in intensity with the first routine being easiest and the 4th being tough but not impossible for an intermediate exerciser. Jillian is her usual bossy rowdy self, but I find her motivating, especially when it gets tough. This is a winner because you get a lot of bang for your buck. If I were to pick just one Jillian workout to own, this would be it.

Jillian revisits her 3-2-1 format from 30-Day Shred in Ripped in 30.  I love that.  She has more variety in RI30 and adds a 4th workout, so this is an excellent value.  I've not gotten to w/os 3 & 4 on a regular basis because they are tough and Jillian can get a little too "creative" with the moves.  But week 1 is my go-to workout.  It always brings on a good sweat, covers most muscle groups for toning, and you can up the challenge by going up in poundage. I recommend to anyone who's never tried Jillian before or who enjoyed her 30-day Shred.

WOW! What a workout! I am very impressed with Jillian's new workout dvd. I have her 30 Day Shred workout, so I thought that this would be similar. I was very wrong. It is a lot tougher, but in a good way. I am only on Week 1 and I find that this is a very good workout, especially if you are short on time. She explains each move very well and there are modifications if you are finding some of the moves hard.  Another good workout from Jillian. I highly recommend her dvds.
