This is the only home workout that has impressed my gym rat husband.  In the 90's, he -- who never did step aerobics before (or since) -- could follow this workout without a problem and was always sweaty at the end.  I was a daily runner prone to foot issues then, so I often reached for Gilad's low-impact, joint-friendly step workouts on alternate training days  ....  Fast forward to 2016!  I'm now in my mid-fifties but still think this step & weight workout is a must-have classic!   Advanced exercisers?  Trying using 8" risers and 5 to 8 lb. weights here.   Intermediate or beginner exercisers?  Reduce your risers/step size and weights accordingly.  This knee-and-foot-friendly workout is ridiculously easy and safe to follow but will give exercisers of all fitness levels a no-dread, sweaty workout depending upon equipment adjustments.  Sure, it's a bit dated now, but the sunshine, cheerful calypso music and Gilad's handsome looks still make it visually appealing.

This is one DVD where I really work up a sweat.  The moves aren't very complicated (the most complicated it gets is a grapevine and a step turn) which is probably good since you are using weights.  As usual, Gilad has great cueing.  You will use weights all at one time -- in other words, it's not that you do a bit of cardio, then weights, then cardio.  

I highly recommend this DVD to anyone.  You can intensify the moves by adding additional risers or upping the weights.  

You can tell by the clothing that the exercisers are wearing that this isn't a new DVD, but I didn't buy the DVD for fashion.

Gilad is a wonderful instructor. The motions are very easy to follow, and he includes a great warmup, abdominal exercises, leg exercises, and cool down. A very safe way to exercise correctly and get results!!
