This lower body toning and shaping workout uses both innovative and traditional exercises to shape the thigh muscles. Although all parts of the thigh muscles are used in Lean Legs & Abs, most of the emphasis is placed on the quadriceps and outer thigh muscles to provide the perfect complement to our Great Glutes workout. The sequence in Lean Legs & Abs is designed to keep your heart rate up while incinerating your thighs and revealing your inner six pack. The segment breakdown is as follows: Warm Up; Compound Legs; Chair/Firewalkers; Core; Stretch; and Bonus Barre. Do all of the segments for the most comprehensive results.

Premixes:
61:11 Lean Legs and Abs + Bonus Barre: (Warm Up, Compound Legs, Chair/Firewalkers, Bonus Barre, Core, Stretch)

55:00 Lean Legs and Abs + Bonus Barre (No Core): (Warm Up, Compound Legs, Chair/Firewalkers, Bonus Barre, Stretch)

50:00 Lean Legs and Abs + Bonus Barre (No Chair/Firewalkers): (Warm Up, Compound Legs, Bonus Barre, Core, Stretch)

5 of 5 Great leg workout for intermediates February 13, 2015
Reviewer: Laura S. from Rockville, MD United States
So, this workout wasn't even on my radar until one day I was reading about workouts and I read a mini review that went something like this, "This is probably Cathe's easiest lower-body workout ever!" Well, my intermediate-level exerciser's ears perked right up because I don't get Cathe's lower-body workouts - I like to be able to walk and I'm not a glutton for punishment! I've seen this workout described as barre meets cardio and light toning. That's probably a good description.

4 of 5 Cathe Lean Legs & Abs July 23, 2014
Reviewer: crm549 from MD United States
Lean legs features a series of mostly standing lower body exercises some of which have a cardio factor that Cathe uses to get the heart rate up.

I like the compound leg portion the best. This segment only used weights and your own body weight.

This portion of the workout also gives you a little bit of upper body work in the form of bicep curls and shoulder presses which you do with a squat.

5 of 5 Feel the burn! July 18, 2014
Reviewer: RedPanda from Australia
Cathe has kept this workout fresh. I love it for the varied leg work, particularly the balance moves. I also appreciate the hip mobility drills in the warm-up.

As another reviewer has commented, the core work is lacking a little in intensity. I usually do the Timesaver #2 premix to work my legs, then add a short core routine.

5 of 5 Great for legs July 16, 2014
Reviewer: Bells
This is an excellent compliment workout to Great Glutes.  This gets the majority of your leg muscles in a variety of ways without any boredom factor.  The ab section is nice, but I wish it was more intense and a bit longer.  I usually do the premix with the leg conditioning and then feel like I got a more thorough workout.

5 of 5 Good variety, burns the thighs July 9, 2014
Reviewer: Suzanne from Arlington, VA United States
The warmup was good & went fast. Then into compound work w/ 8lb dbs. Moved pretty quickly, good variety, i.e., squat presses, lunges, jumping sumos etc. I think the chair/firewalker band section was next. I loved the quad work w/the chair & the weights, really burns. Then a speedskater firewalker segment. Floor/mat work was next, consisting of side/quad leg lifts w/the band. I did the barre bonus PM &  give Cathe an A+++. I LOVED it. Works your quads beautifully, plus your calves. Lots of high & tights but w/variations. Core was great w/lots of variety.
