Danielle Diamond developed this DVD for yoga devotees who want a challenge.  Even though you will be using light weights (Danielle suggests three and five pounds), "Xen Strength" provides a full-body strength training session, so you will want to plan the rest of your workout week accordingly.  A heavy lifter at heart, I found the workout to be challenging in a different way.  The workout will challenge your balance, and give you the stretching benefits of yoga, while building your strength.  My only gripe is that Danielle doesn’t mirror cue, but it’s still easy to follow along.  I also liked the retro black and white look.

I enjoyed the black and white filming something different. The weights really added a intensity to the Yoga moves. Great instructor with a great energy.

Combining handweights with yoga poses and stretches is not a new idea, but this DVD does a nice job of it.  I also thought the "retro" black-and-white footage was kinda cool; definitely different.  The one thing I couldn't get past, though, was her voice.  If that sort of thing doesn't bother you and you enjoy yoga for strength, then this might be the workout for you!
