Cardio Leg Blast is super charged with both cardio and strength exercises that build lean muscle mass and burn body fat like an incinerator. It consists of traditional weighted exercises followed by plyometric exercises to develop power and explosive strength as well as tight and toned legs. The key to this workout is finding a moderately challenging weight for each of the strength exercises (versus a super heavy weight) so that your legs have the proper recovery time and ability to jump right into the next plyometric drill that follows it. I like this workout more and more each time I do it.
It is tough.  
The workout alternates cardio power leg exercises with cardio strength leg exercises.   There are 12 rounds and you are pretty much moving from exercise to exercise.
I was gasping for breath on quite a few.

It is a great combo to get your legs tones of Plyometrics and classic leg weight training on a step. It will leave you burning and every part of your legs worked. It is fun worth adding to your collection.

I have a hard time convincing myself to do traditional heavy lifting for the lower legs, preferring
KB instead, but his dvd is an exception. She works your legs hard with the lifts, but breaks it up with lots of short cardio segments to keep you from wanting to quit. It's a great workout.

I reach for this video a lot (too much?!?).  My legs really have hardened and sculpted from doing plyo/heavy weight workouts and this workout is the exact definition.  Perfect pace and as always great cueing by Cathe with excellent video production and music.  You alternate between a workout with heavy weights and a cardio workout for your legs.  Great premixes also.  Very versatile.

This workout is one of my favorites. First, combining plyo/cardio with heavy weights sculpted my leg muscles better than STS Squat Rack. The cardio/plyo sections are difficult but they don't last long enough to make you want to quit. The first six cycles are floor cardio and the remaining six are on the step.  While I really don't like the one-legged squats, the rest of the weight work consists of solid, traditional moves (usually 16 reps or thereabouts).  Lots of premixes to make this one versatile.  I usually do this one twice a month, rotating it with either STS Plyo Legs or a plyo/strength leg-focused premix.  Thankfully, Cathe is making a CLB #2!!!
