Great exercises; too much talking July 5, 2014

If I were rating this on activity alone, it would be 5 stars.  I really felt like I had done some serious work, but there are some issues. I would advise watching this DVD before trying it. There are moments where she performs an exercise many times before beginning a count, which leads to uneven reps. However, you can learn how many are expected on each side and work accordingly. Also, Tracy does not mirror. When she says "to the right", she means her right. Either you will move left or appear opposite of her. Tracy talks a lot. Some people found this distracting as sometimes she explains so much that your heart rate has returned to normal before you actually begin the next exercise. Generally I use that time to even out any reps I might have missed from a previous exercise so my heart rate stays up & I get the same toning on each side. I like that she lets us know what we're working & why. It helps avoid injury & ensures we are getting the intended benefit from the exercise.

Great Intro to Tracy's Method August 1, 2013

I wish I had this 3 years ago when I started with her original MAT and Post Pregnancy and dance Cardio workouts! This has 2, 30 min routines that introduce beginners to Tracy's Method. The first workout has some arm and leg exercises and a slow paced "Dance Cardio" routine that ANYONE can get! She uses wrist and ankle weights to intensify the workout because of the slower pace. I really liked it. The second workout is like a beginner version of MAT. It has beginning stretches, un weighted arms, weighted arms and leg moves using the chair-for support and standing never on all fours. She closes with rib isolations or standing abs. This will be too easy for those into her Meta or Continuity programs, but this is a needed DVD for those just starting or starting over with Tracy and feel lost by her other programs.
