Whether you’re in your first, second or third trimester, this
workout has been designed to be safe and effective. There are two
modifiers visible during various trimesters and or fitness levels. If
you haven’t been workout out prior to becoming pregnant, according to
the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, you can till
start an exercise routine, with your OBGYN’s approval, by slowly
building up your endurance beginning with 4 minutes of exercise a day.
CARDIO: All 5 Cardio Segments are low-impact, no bouncing or
spinning, ad done at a low to moderate bpm (beats per minute) of 130.
Tonya’s combinations are great because she puts together a lot of fun
moves that aren’t repetitive nor are they overly complex.
SCULPT: A total body workout using light hand-weights, a chair and a
mat. Tony addresses all the major muscle groups making sure to offer
safe and comfortable modifications for every trimester and fitness
level. Most of the exercises are done sitting or leaning on a chair or
lying down on your side on a mat.
COOL-DOWN & STRETCH: Tonya brings your heart rate down and leads
you through stretches that relive back pain, reduce stress and relax
you from head to toe.
Tonya is an AFAA Certified Group Exercise and Step Instructor
and also certified in Prenatal Postnatal Fitness as well as Bosu. She
earned a BA in Theatre form the University of Texas at Austin and
graduated from Victory Bible Institute’s School of Worship &
Biblical Studies in Tulsa, OK.
