This DVD is the first workout in the Warrior series to challenge the total body with a fusion of strong, dynamic postural movements and isometric holds. Strengthen, sculpt, and lengthen the muscles of the body with this intense, deep muscle workout to challenge your mind, body, and spirit. The exercises integrate simultaneous lower and upper body movements to elevate the heart rate and increase calorie burn. Warrior combines unique variations of plies, lunges, squats, and leg balances to challenge the lower body, while the core-focused mat work flows from planks to the "can-can" to strengthen the upper body and abdominal muscles.  This intermediate-advanced level workout is for all levels with provided modifications.

Calming, challenging workout, not just Yoga based August 24, 2010

I despise yoga workouts and am not a huge fan of dancy cardio or endless low weight high rep workouts.  This may be yoga-esque but I feel it's strength training, effective lower body workout!
I loved this workout, you can feel your body working, you can feel strength and even cardio effect as you move through the poses with pulsing, balance holds and slight position changes. Just when a move became too difficult to execute correctly, the move changed or a break was taken for breathing. Suzanne's voice over is calming and very descriptive. Eventhough your eyes are turned down and not staring at the screen, you can follow along easily. I think it will take many practices before mastering this workout. Many times I had to use modifications and my supporting leg was shaking. Thsi was a calming, challenging yet doable workout..loved it.

I really enjoy Release & Warrior.  Both videos feature similar movements, but Release tends to be heavier in the upper body floor work while Warrior favors the standing lower body work (but both are well-rounded).  I work up a nice sweat with this video.  The movements are very precise and controlled and strong.  Very easy to follow along and you will definitely be rewarded the next day with gluteal DOMS!  I cannot wait to see if this company brings us any new workouts!
