RushFit Strength and Endurance is a functional strength training workout that keeps you moving the entire time. This workout is led by Trainer Eric Boeing and includes Georges St Pierre and two other participants (a male and a female who shows modifications). You begin with dynamic, flowing stretches that gradually move into more strength-based stretches to increase your heart rate and warm the body, such as walking planks, push-ups into side planks and ending with straight-leg sit ups. The main workout is 30 minutes and consists of 5 rounds.  The first two rounds utilize body weight and the last 3 rounds use weights. In rounds 1-4, each exercise lasts for 60 seconds. While you are constantly moving from one exercise into the next, there are built-in rest periods after each round. Eric gives plenty of instruction and form pointers to make this a safe and effective workout and Georges offers personal tidbits from his fighting experience.  The exercises are not your traditional weight training moves you would normally encounter in the gym, but rather variations of those exercises with dynamic movement.  They are "natural body movements" that build strength, endurance and speed. Round 5 is made up of floor work and each exercise lasts 1 minute per side.  The first two exercises are ab-based, while the third one is not.  The deep stretch concludes the workout to ensure that you won't "cramp or be tight" the next day and also to increase flexibility. This is a well-rounded, articulately presented workout, with some creative toning moves that will tone your body in a short amount of time.

This is a great DVD. It's challenging yet do-able.

GSP's trainer, Erik Owings, gives excellent instruction throughout; in fact, I've picked up some form pointers I can use in my other workouts.

You feel you're really training *with* GSP - he can't perform all the exercises well, grunts and says it feels "Orrible!" (There's no macho posturing here.)

This DVD left me feeling strong and thoroughly worked out - highly recommended!
