Improve Balance, Posture, and Flexibility July 13, 2014

Ballet moves, nice stretches, balance practice, and postural awareness combine to make a pleasant workout. It's not particularly strenuous or difficult, but doing the moves precisely is a challenge. Kari has a nice personality and instructs with skill.

Kari is so elegant and professional. Her cueing is excellent and she's a stickler for detail. Having said that, I thought this was going to be a light day workout. In some ways it was because there's no impact or high intensity cardio. But there's enough reps and when you follow her form tips you will find it's a gentle thorough workout! The music is great. I wish there was more for upper body, but she sneaks in a little. When I'm done doing this I feel taller, more graceful, and I feel like I got in a good workout.

Kari put together a good workout in this one... This one gave me an appreciation for a different (to me) style of workout... Surprisingly challenging, but I really felt this the next day after the first time I tried this one.  I would recommend this one.

Center Floor is one of those workouts that looks easy but is not. The exercises are simple and don't require anything other than a mat. You don't need to have previous experience in ballet, but I think if you have no previous experience (like me) the intensity and challenge will take you by surprise!
The final flexibility segment is refreshing and calming. Perfect!
